Renzo’s training is Industrial Design (BID, Carleton University) and Architectural Technology. He has been designing environments, be it festivals and outdoor hardware for the National Capital Commission, exhibit furniture for the Museum of Science and Technology or Post Office’s for Canada Post.  As an Architectural Technologist fir the past 20 years, Renzo has assisted many homeowners and business owners with designs for additions or renovations or custom homes, with specific experience and expertise on how to make the most of older or smaller homes. As a certified designer (Large Building BCIN # 37725) with the Ministry of Housing and Municipal Affairs, he can submit code-compliant permit and construction ready plans to City planning departments for both residential and commercial work. His careful, contemporary aesthetic can help you quickly reach your design goals.

A career’s worth of being on construction sites and an Associate Certificate in Project Management also means Renzo is available to manage your entire project. Coordinating construction permits, managing contractors and adjusting for on-site issues can then be handled quickly and confidently, keeping the project on–time and on-budget. Funktional Design is also a member of the Canadian Green Building Council In order to stay abreast with modern building science and best practices for sustainable construction and energy conservation.
